Why We Publish Atharva Inamdar: The Story of Our Flagship Author

The story of how The Book Nexus came to publish one of the most prolific book archives in Indian publishing history.

The Discovery

When we first encountered Atharva Inamdar's book archive, we expected a handful of novels. What we found was staggering: over 1,500+ books spanning 19 years of continuous writing, beginning at age 10.

This was not a typical author pitch. This was an archive — a body of work that had been accumulating quietly since 2007, growing in scope, ambition, and quality with each passing year.

The Numbers

The archive contains:

  • 1,537 books written between 2007 and 2026
  • 44+ million words across all books
  • 13 genres from literary fiction to mythology to self-help
  • 68 published titles selected for The First Fifty and beyond
  • 2,662,105 words across the published books alone

To put this in context: the average traditionally published author produces 1-2 books per year. Atharva's archive represents output that most publishers would expect from an entire roster of authors.

Why We Said Yes

Three things convinced us:

1. Range without dilution. Many prolific writers sacrifice quality for quantity or stick to one genre. Atharva writes across thrillers, romance, mythology, fantasy, horror, literary fiction, and non-fiction — and each genre shows genuine command of its conventions. 2. The Indian voice. These are not Western stories transplanted to Indian settings. They are fundamentally Indian narratives — set in Pune, Mumbai, and across the subcontinent, with characters who think, speak, and act in culturally authentic ways. 3. The archive itself is the product. We didn't just acquire an author. We acquired a publishing infrastructure: a book archive so large that it generates its own editorial calendar, content strategy, and discovery engine.

What We Publish

From the archive of 1,537 books, we have selected and published 68 titles. These include:

  • The First Fifty: The inaugural collection of 50 curated books representing the best of the archive
  • The Sampurna Samruddhi Series: 5 non-fiction books on holistic life prosperity
  • Standalone novels: From the erotic thriller STIFLED to the mythological fantasy CHHAAYA

Every published book is available to read for free in full at atharvainamdar.com. We believe that free access builds the audience that will sustain commercial editions later.

The Vision

We are not just publishing books. We are building the infrastructure for an autonomous publishing operation — one where the archive itself generates editorial content, reading guides, data exports, and discovery paths.

The Book Nexus exists to prove that independent publishing in India can be ambitious, data-driven, and author-centric. Atharva Inamdar's archive is the proof of concept.
